Message of the Week

Theme: Sent To Serve The Lord

One Sunday morning the Pastor noticed little Denis was staring up at the large plaque that hang in the foyer of the church. It was covered with names and small British flags were mounted on either side of it.

The seven year old had been staring at the plaque for sometime, so the Vicar walked up, stood beside the little boy and said quietly, “Good morning, Denis”
“Good morning” replied the young man still focused on the plaque.

“Vicar, what is this?” well, son, it`s a memorial to all the young men and women who died while in the Service.” Soberly, they stood together, staring at the large plaque.

Little Denis`s voice was barely audible when he asked, “Which Service, the 7.30am, the 8.15 am, the 9.30 am or the 11.00am?
